Wet, uncomfortable, dirty and fantastic - we love it!
Caving, for many people means facing a fear of the unknown and having to venture outside their comfort zone. Go for it! Discover a whole new hidden world and a superb group activity.

Marvel at huge caverns, stalactites and stalagmites and underground rivers then grab your mates by their boots to help them through the next tight squeeze. And don’t worry about size or shape, if you don’t fit through the small bits there’s always another way round!

The caves we visit are within the Brecon Beacons National Park. The caves we use most often are Porth Yr Ogof (translated as 'Gateway to the Cave' which has the largest entrance of any cave in Wales at over 17m wide and 5m high) and Ogof Clogwyn (or 'Cliff Cave' found in the Clydach gorge with a small waterfall cascading out of the main entrance). These caves are great for beginners as they have lots of different challenges, slides, squeezes, crawls and climbs to explore, aswell as huge chambers and passages to marvel at.
Caving encourages us to trust our team mates and rely on them to help us through the trickier sections of the cave. You may get a chance to lead the team, taking responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of your friends and making decisions as to the best route through a challenge or how best to assist each another. Are you ready for a challenge?
"When I overcame my fear of the dark in the cave I felt really proud. I don't think that I have ever felt that proud!
