High Ropes

Our high and low ropes challenges are built in the grounds of Woodlands. They provide you with the opportunity to test your nerves through progressively more difficult challenges, whilst taking responsibility for your own safety and looking after others in your team.

Low ropes course

The low ropes course is a good place to start building your confidence and trust in your team mates. Try to complete the course by crossing each obstacle without touching the ground. Ask a team mate to support you and keep you safe.

On the Indiana Jones bridge

The jungle gym is a great way to further the level of challenge for your team. Work to help everyone get across the course using specialist 'cows tails' to keep you safe. Learn to give clear instructions to guide your friends safely to each platform and take responsibility for keeping yourself and others safe.

Zip wire

Fancy a ride down the zip wire? It's great fun and although a little scary launching yourself out of the tree, we're sure you'll agree that the feeling of whizzing back down is well worth it!

Success!

The Jacob's Ladder is a fitting challenge for groups who really want to push themselves. You'll have to be determined to succeed and resourceful in your planning to get your team as high as possible. The rest of your team mates will support you and keep you safe by belaying you, keeping your rope tight to prevent a fall. A great way to build trust in a team!

The Woodlands' wall - how high can you climb?

The climbing wall is an exciting challenge - a vertical wall nearly 14m in height - set yourself a target and see how far you can get! As you climb your team mates will be looking after you; belaying, guiding you up the route and most of all encouraging you through the difficult sections all the way to the top! Once you have done your best lean back, trust the rope and your friends, and bounce your way back down to the ground. How high will you climb?
